I think this is my last floral pastel to post for awhile. We’re in deep winter in Michigan and it will be a while before we see colors like this again!

This is probably my most abstract flower composition so far. You can certainly tell that the scene is in a garden, and even what type of flowers are there. But with the extreme close-up view, flowers, trees, leaves, even background all start breaking up into shapes, color, light and dark. I like working in that little “micro” world…
