Another winterscape to match the snowy season. This painting is one of my favorites. I had hundreds of notecards made of it and used it for my Christmas card one year. It is inspired by the Saline park where I walk my Australian Shepherd, Roxy. Warm highlights and blue shadows–that’s what makes winter scenes attractive to me. Plus the inherent graphic quality that light snow and dark trees lend to any composition. The expressive branches remind me of calligraphy…
