ITALY

After painting en plein air in watercolor for three amazing weeks in
Umbria and Rome, Italy, I returned to my studio to work in pastel.
Over the next year, I created the new body of Italian pastel paintings below.
This group of works, along with many Italian watercolors were at the center of my exhibit,
“Faraway Places: history, objects, spirit & spaces”, at the River Gallery in Chelsea, Michigan.
