Painting landscapes "plein air" is one of my favorite ways to explore watercolor.
There is nothing like actually seeing the way sunlight affects a stand of trees,
a mountain range or a sparkling stream. When weather or time constraints don't allow
on-sight painting, I work in my studio from sketches and research photos.
